Billing

Learning Abroad Program Fees are added to term bills and will appear as a course fee. Once you have committed to a Learning Abroad Program and are registered in the corresponding course, the program fees will be added to your term bill as a course fee.  Rutgers students can pay their course fees through the Student Accounting Office. (Non-Rutgers students and non-students will make their payments via an online link). You are responsible for ensuring that your bill is accurate and is paid on time.  The course fee may reduce the refund amount you typically receive.  Please plan accordingly to ensure that you will have adequate funding.

Please keep in mind that there may be certain expenses not included in the program costs. This may include some meals, excursions, visa fees, and other travel expenses. Please review what is covered and not covered in the program costs and plan your travel budget accordingly. Consult with your faculty leader with questions about program costs.

Financial Aid

Students receiving financial aid at Rutgers should be aware that they are generally eligible for increases in their aid package to cover additional costs associated with participation in Learning Abroad programs.

It is very important for you to check with the Financial Aid office regarding your current Financial Aid Award Letter and/or eligibility to increase the amount of loans you already receive. If you have not applied for Financial Aid but would like to, you will need to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can access and complete this form online (http://fafsa.gov). For questions concerning your Financial Aid amount, the Rutgers Financial Aid office can be reached at (856) 225-6039.
