Expansion of National Interest Exceptions (NIEs) for Regional COVID Proclamations 

As of April 26, 2021, the U.S. government has established additional National Interest Exceptions (NIEs) for Regional COVID Proclamations on student visas for applicants from Brazil, China, Iran, and South Africa similar to existing NIEs for Schengen countries, the UK and Ireland.
