Next Steps for Incoming International Students (Graduate)

Accepting Admission

In order to register for your course(s), you must formally accept admission to Rutgers University – Camden. You may formally accept your admission online.

Scholarship Notification

International students admitted to Rutgers-Camden meet qualifications for the International Chancellor's Scholarship. Beginning in February, students will be notified via email and mail regarding scholarship eligibility.

Apply for On-Campus Housing

Newly admitted students can access the on-campus housing and dining contracts after you have activated your NetID. Housing contracts are available for incoming students in February.

Register for International Student Orientation

The OIS conducts a comprehensive, mandatory, orientation for all incoming international students.  The orientation program provides valuable information regarding maintaining your status, academic matters, student services and much more! The program also provides opportunities for you to meet with new and returning students, learn from their experiences, and make new friends. Orientation is held in August for students enrolling during the fall semester and January for students enrolling during the spring semester.

Request your I-20

Submit the I-20 Request Form, found here: I-20 Request Form. Once you have received your I-20 from Rutgers, pay your SEVIS I-901 fee at fmjfee.com and apply for your visa at a US embassy or consulate. You will receive an email reminder about one week after accepting your offer of admission to Rutgers-Camden.

Registering for Classes

Once you have accepted your admission, you may select your (fall/spring) classes. The schedule of classes can be found here. To view detailed course descriptions, please browse our Graduate School Catalog.

Once you have made your course selections, you may use the Online Schedule of Classes or our Registration System to register. You will need your Rutgers Identification number (RUID) and PAC code to register.

Your PAC-Personal Access Code by default is your month and day of birth in MMDD format.

Sign up for your classes as soon as possible because classes can fill quickly. If you have any questions regarding holds, special permission registrations, and course selections, contact your graduate director.

Submit your Immunization Record

All new and transfer students are required to comply with NJ State and University immunization requirements. The requirements and reporting processes are found on the Rutgers Immunization Portal.

Pay your Tuition and Fees

Term bills will be available online at studentabc.rutgers.edu beginning mid-late July. Payment due dates begin in August. The due date will be displayed on your term bill. Term bills can be paid by credit card (online only, fees apply), check, money order or bank draft by mail or in person at the Student Accounting Office.
